Peacock Ridge very well may be one of the most welcoming venues in Ohio. After driving through the open fields welcoming you to their grounds, you quickly remember why Ohio farms are so special.

From a photographic point-of-view, there are very few things anyone could ask for that aren’t already there: rustic church pews surround their beautiful waterfront ceremony site to create a stunning and wildly functional dream wedding venue; their historic barn is flanked by multiple outdoor entertaining spaces and features a beautiful oversized chandelier. Everything combined gives your guests the perfect blend of elevated aesthetics in an environment that encourages them to explore. Everything just feels perfectly placed and extremely welcoming.

Having worked on their grounds many times over the years, I can’t say enough good things about Peacock Ridge.

From a vendor’s standpoint, their staff is so easy to work with, fun to be around, and very helpful. The grounds are structured in such a way that every square foot feels purposeful, and the seamless flow makes for easily-created timelines and ensures that the logistics of wedding day feel effortless.

And finally, from a visitor’s perspective, there are very few places that feel as welcoming as Peacock Ridge. Everything you could want is nestled into easily traversable grounds without feeling packed in. Very few places give us the freedom to create the way Peacock Ridge does, and their timeless grounds are accentuated in different (and equally awesome!) ways for every season.

Pro Tips

  • If wearing heels for wedding day, keep a pair of flats/sandals handy to traverse the grounds. If you are anti-flats/sandals, always remember dirty feet are better than a sprained ankle.

  • Open air/outdoor weddings are susceptible to inclement weather. Be sure to pack an umbrella for you and the wedding party (bonus: Peacock Ridge looks amazing in the sun, rain, snow, and everything in between).

  • Lean into utilizing their outdoor spaces. Add a s’more station near the fire pit, setup corn hole boards, and find other ways to encourage your guests to spread out and utilize Peacock Ridge’s beautiful grounds.

  • Be sure to tour Peacock Ridge’s grounds around the same time your wedding will be. Each season compliments the grounds differently.

  • Lean on your photographer when it comes to locations onsite for photos. There are obviously many well-known spots that will top your photo locations list, but there are many nooks and crannies that photograph equally as beautifully.

The Barn

Rustic-chic event space that accommodates up to 200 guests for receptions and doubles as a backup plan for ceremonies in case of inclement weather.

Ceremony Site

Like something out of a rustic dream, the paved aisle leads you through perfectly weathered gates to a pond-front ceremony site. Surrounded by wooden church pews, couples are married under a rustic pergola highlighting their outdoor chandelier.

Bridal Suite & Groom Suite

The bridal suite is a charming standalone building giving the bride and bridal party a dedicated space to get ready onsite. This space is fantastic anytime you might need some privacy without the inconvenience of having to leave the grounds. Nestled under the reception area, the groom’s suite is a walk out rustic space giving the groom & groom’s party a laid back and informal space to get ready and call home base for the day.

Outdoor Spaces

The ceremony site and reception area are connected by a beautiful patio (often used for cocktail hour). Once the formalities wrap up, the barn doors have the ability to open up to utilize the paved “mingling” space and give your guests an open air laid back space to converse while not deviating far from the party. The fire pit serves as a rustic retreat and gives guests the opportunity to snag a s’more and recharge before getting back to the dance floor.
