A little less than a year ago I had the pleasure of meeting with Andrea at one of the larger wedding shows we participate in. I remember saying hi and introducing myself and hearing “I think I know your wife” in response. Ironically enough Andrea knew a good amount about me before we had even met by knowing my wife. Proving what a small world it is, I learned Andrea’s entire family went to the same school district as my wife and knew each other from the show choir program. After assuring her that if anything went wrong she could have my wife and in laws kick my butt I was very excited to sign on to photograph her wedding.
Fast forward a year later the big day was here. One of the most interesting things about their wedding was the integration of family and tradition. Andrea and Joe were actually married in the same church as her parents and grandparents, giving us the opportunity to duplicate photos from their grandparents wedding in the same place decades later. How cool is that!? Staying with the historical theme our offsite location for wedding party photos was at the historical Hower House in Akron, OH. With their wedding being in the middle of December we were able to take advantage of the beautiful vintage Christmas decorations to create some beautiful imagery.
I am very excited and honored to have worked with Andrea, Joe and their families. From the hair appointments at John Robert’s Hair Salon to the beautiful Reception at Roses Run Country Club, wedding day was very easy going and fun. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the both of you and congrats on a beautiful wedding! Have a safe trip back to Maryland and I hope to hear from you guys soon!
