Another year has wrapped up, and we’re all thinking the exact same thing… what is a Labubu, and who actually knows what 6–7 means? While we may never get those answers, it’s clear that 2025 was another year full of surprises and dynamics.
TikTok got banned. Suddenly, everyone in the country had to go to bed at a normal time, and restroom trips became 60% shorter. Fourteen hours later, we were right back to watching the Nicki Minaj challenge, grown men calling their friends to say good night, aura farming, and videos reminding us that nothing beats a Jet2 Holiday.
Katy Perry kinda went to space, while Swifties saw stars when Taylor and Travis got engaged. The new Superman movie showcased some great spots around Cleveland, and Coldplay’s kiss cam managed to highlight the worst place to bring a date—especially if you’re married to someone else.
Diddy went to jail, a group of thieves somehow stole the crown jewels from the Louvre, kids singing the K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack annoyed every parent alive, and Beyoncé left the Grammys with both Best Country Album & Album of the Year. Unfortunately, Bianca Censori left with everything she came with… nothing (not even her clothes).
The U.S. got a win by getting a Pope from Chicago, everyone watched the entire Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl performance for one moment, and those waiting for the conclusions of Wicked and Stranger Things were finally made whole.
2025 packed a ton into 365 days. For me, it was a year of great times and new challenges. I became a master at making smash burgers, watched our kids learn and experience new things, and made more Costco trips than I can count.
Wedding-wise, 2025 brought us 46 weddings and was a great reminder of why capturing weddings captured me in the first place. It’s a familiar list of formalities that somehow feels fresh and exciting with every new couple. I saw proud moms dancing with their sons, dads losing it when they saw their daughters for the first time, and guests partying like the next day didn’t exist. What an absolutely incredible year it was.
To all the couples who added us to their vendor team, and to all the families and guests who made those long days so enjoyable—thank you for making 2025 such an amazing year.
As we look ahead to an unforgettable 2026, let’s take a look back at some great moments from our 2025 wedding season:

Wedding wise, 2025 was a great reminder as to why capturing weddings captured me. It’s a familiar list of formalities that somehow becomes fresh and interesting with every new couple. I spent the last 12 months photographing 46 weddings across Ohio. In that time I saw proud Moms dancing with their sons, Dads losing it seeing their daughters for the first time, and guests party like the next day didn’t exist. What an absolutely great year it was.
