I have been photographing this family for a little over a year now. In that year I have been able to learn a lot about the Hruby family on many levels. Aside from being a stand up guy, Shane recently enlisted in the U.S Navy. During our session, among goofy small talk, he explained to me he would be working in submarines patrolling the oceans around the country. Its around that moment you realize that our armed forces aren’t just faceless soldiers. They are our friends, family, and acquaintances.
