I am not sure there is a large enough number to describe the amount of wedding ceremonies I have attended over the years. One of my favorite readings that seems to make it’s way into most Catholic ceremonies is Corinthians 13:4-8.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

As Megan and David’s ceremony came to its conclusion, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Wadsworth, this verse was read. After the reading the Priest elaborated a little bit on it. One thing that seemed to stick with me was his challenge to married couples to replace the word “love” with “I” to ensure you are living up to your commitment of marriage. Of all the times I have heard that verse I had never thought of it that way.

Having met at the school connected to their church, we had free reign of their old grade school classroom and hallways to photograph them in while we waited for the rain to pass. Once the rain had made its way through the area the sun made its wedding day debut, giving us a small window to get out to the Tudor House for all the offsite photos. From there we joined them for their beautiful reception at The Galaxy Banquet Center in Wadsworth.

Congrats to both Megan and David on a beautiful wedding and I look forward to seeing you guys again soon!
